A former resident of Uniondale, Long Island, Louie, his parents and three brothers moved to Spring Hill,
Florida at the age of 16, this is when Louie first started playing the guitar, even though he knew he wanted to
play since the age of five. His musical influences are “The Beatles”, “Bob Dylan”, Simon and Garfunkel” and
"Neil Young."
Louie created two outstanding bands in his youth. The First band “Dream” performed in 1976-1978 at places
such as the Pasco and Hernando County “Annual Chicken Plucking Contest” and they were the house band at
the “Cascade Lounge”. One of Louie’s most memorable experiences is when he had the opportunity to open
for the well known band “The Ink Spots”. Then a few years later, in 1985, Louie played in a band called “5th
Avenue”, this band was highlighted at places such as “Studebakers” in Hudson, Florida and “The Steak and
Spaghetti Factory” in Spring Hill, Florida.
Louie is a very hard working and creative man with many talents. Not only did he continue his music, he was
also a construction worker and began exploring his artistic side, experimenting with imitation brick and stone
in many of the retirement communities he worked on. He did not stop there with his love for art. In 1990 Louie
put himself through school and got a degree in art earning an Associates Degree in Art. He then illustrated an
childrens education book called "Wrinkles The Brain," He was the art director for the world famous Neighbor
Kids in Homosassa, Florida, as well as sculpted and air brushed thousands of beautiful lawn garden statues
and worked as an art director for "Sandstone Creations."
Louie currently resides in Spring Hill. He enjoys writing and performing his own original music and lyrics,
showing off his artistic nature. One venue where Louie performs is Colorama Music's Premier Performance
Studio. Louie says “I just love to write good music, bringing the joy of music to my audience is what I am here
for."
